Money has driven and will continue to drive all actions performed by humanity. Price of gasoline goes up, people will stop driving as much in order to save MONEY. Cost of energy goes up to fuel our cheap electricity, no problem, let's use our home appliances less. Raised consciousness is only for the very small minority. Humanity is like the overweight person who decides to get it together AFTER he/she has been diagnosed with advanced diabetes. However, what Jessica is saying is true, in a way, as you will notice that major corporations are now owning up to their social responsibilities at home and abroad and some people (mainly in Europe) are not using plastic bags for "convenience". Could also be that today, both for individuals and organizations, it is becoming exceedingly difficult to do things in a clandestine way. For this reason, beneficial change may accelerate. Historically it has been very slow (i.e., slavery, Colosseum games and child/animal abuses). But don't forget that it was mainly advances in technology that opened the door to humane improvement in these areas. The masses are just something for the "elite" to play with, manipulate, abuse and exploit. Is that going on today and will that continue? Yes. But there is a new monkey wrench in the old equation and that is that the rich are beginning to shoot themselves in the foot with THEIR lack of consciousness and may destroy it for themselves as well as the "idiot" masses. Remember back in the 70's all that literature about "Limits to Growth"? Reagan and Thatcher made short work of that "fiasco". Nipped it in the bud and made Carter look like the biggest fool and blunder that ever hit the USA. "Jimmy Carter - Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! What a joke!", said they. But now Jimmy's impassioned pleas seem to be making a lot of sense.

"When enough people use their minds this way, the power of thought reaches a kind of spontaneous tipping point. "

This is the crux of the crisis we face as humans. How do we (humans and Gaia) aid the decay and destruction of denial, in order to bring humanity's vast imaginative/intuitive skills to bear? I believe the internet connections we are establishing world-wide, together with the manifestation of young new leadership in the US, is the platform needed to show denial to be the fearful defeatism it is. How long did the Titanic have to see the iceberg and make the turn away necessary to save all aboard? And they were warned too.

You asked if we knew anyone with Jupiter in Aquarius. Of course we all do. Mr. Obama! Right on the cusp. Let's talk about that. Thanks for a wonderful article. :)

While I always appreciate the thoughtful clarity that Jessica Murray brings to her writing, the idea that struck me most was about Saturn in Libra being a time for pondering....not just thinking and doing. Many thanks.

Enjoyed this article, which makes many good points about
the rational function, and the benefits that can come from
harnessing the head and heart for the good of all. I too take
solace in the idea that Earth got along very well before humans
showed up, and will do fine after we are gone, if we cannot
find our way to collectively envision our interconnectedness
and take our true place as just one of the many life forms
on this living planet. Without working for the good of all,
humans be gone...

I take heart that Saturn in Libra supports intelligence and mindfulness applied to our life as world citizens and earth beings and not just to staying serenely detatched in the face of oncoming tragedy.
