October is so-so for traveling. Energy is unstable during eclipse periods, and the whole month is essentially an eclipse period. There are also long periods of VOC Moon. This does not mean disaster, but it does mean that unexpected events tend to occur then. Generally we like our travel to move smoothly, as planned. With those caveats, here are more specifics:

OCTOBER 1. Fine.

OCTOBER 2. Excellent, but best not to start during VOC, which is from 12:34 p.m.-2:55 p.m. EDT.

OCTOBER 3. Excellent.

OCTOBER 4. VOC Moon nearly all day. Don’t start after 6:27 a.m.

OCTOBER 5. Fine, although there might be stormy weather in some areas.

OCTOBER 6. Good.

OCTOBER 7. Fine after 3:23 p.m.

OCTOBER 8. Fine.

OCTOBER 9. VOC Moon most of the day. Best not to start after 6:42 a.m. EDT.

OCTOBER 10. There could be problems in the early morning. However, it should be smooth by 8:15 a.m.

OCTOBER 11. Fine for most, although there will be some who have a problem in the afternoon, perhaps with their vehicle. Make sure it’s in good running order, and that you are supplied for emergencies.

OCTOBER 12. Excellent after 9:32 a.m.

OCTOBER 13. I’d probably stay home on a solar eclipse day. Morning does have fine travel aspects, but afternoon is difficult.

OCTOBER 14. Fine, except best not to start a trip during VOC moon from 10:22 a.m.-2:10 p.m. EDT.

OCTOBER 15, 16, AND 17. Excellent, except for VOC moon from 11:43 a.m.-5:58 p.m. EDT on October 16.

OCTOBER 18. Most of this day is fine. However, don’t start during VOC moon from 11:46 a.m.-7:07 p.m.

OCTOBER 19. Excellent early in the day. Later we may be slowed by delays.

OCTOBER 20. Mixed. We may feel irritable and insecure today.

OCTOBER 21. Excellent.

OCTOBER 22. Fine until 8:20 a.m., when Moon goes VOC for the remainder of the day.

OCTOBER 23 and OCTOBER 24. Fine, although water travel could have pitfalls.

OCTOBER 25 and OCTOBER 26. Fine.

OCTOBER 27 and OCTOBER 28. Unstable days. Travel unpredictable.

OCTOBER 29. OK.

OCTOBER 30 and 31. Excellent.
